According to a recent article in our local “news" paper penned by Mae Anderson and Michael Liedtke of the Associated Press titled “Tech’s Magnificent Seven get break as some electronics get tariff exemption” it appears that our President blinked again! Not really. After using phrases like “has made several U-turns” and “latest change by the Trump Administration” it implies that the administration flinched and finally saw the error of their ways. Fearing the might of the powerful CCP and certain wrath from the far-left Trump buckled. Not so. If you take the time to read it in its entirety, the AP also outlines some truths. The “move” was not a novice idea. If you were ever in the business of doing business, you will understand this. The supposed U-turns are part of “the plan” in the negotiating process and designed to assist the American consumer. Furthermore, it is utilized to buy time for the tech giants to establish manufacturing right here in America. Thankfully the article includes. “It would also benefit big tech companies like Apple and Samsung, and chip makers like Nvidia, setting the stage for a stock rally”.
Take the time to read the entire article rather than jumping the shark. It clearly states. “Trumps decision to exempt the iPhone and other popular electronics made in China mirrors the similar relief that he gave those products during the trade war of his first term in the White House”. Apparently not a new idea. Truth in journalism is determined by stating the facts. The “truth” however, is ultimately in the eyes of the beholder. Facts followed by “but” which happens in most journalism these days, infers opinions and sometimes bias, rather than fact. Trumps business decisions are not usually determined by shooting from the hip as we are led to believe. From my standpoint they are always calculated in the plan. Most points of view are really determined by whose side you are on. Be careful not to depend only on some parts of the picture to form an opinion. Make certain that you don’t leave out any puzzle pieces. You may wish to take the time to Google the parable of “The blind man and the elephant”.

Tom, the inclusion of Chinese suicide net Apple is an important "tell" in this discussion. The price of MAGA manufacturing in the US will be labor rates paid to Chinese, who when seeking the sweet release of jumping to their deaths, land in the net only to be put right back in their chairs to keep making iPhones, iPads and MacBooks. Tim Cook will insist that he not pay a penny more for American labor, and in fact will employ so called illegal immigrants who's conditional inclusion into the US is merely to "Break The Dam" of the prevailing labor wages for US manufacturing.
In short, Corporate America, which is indeed multinational at this point, will not pay any higher wages than they pay in China after the Wage Dam is finally broken here. Until that time, preference of so called illegals or H1Bs will be paid whatever it takes to attract them and replace higher priced American workers. Once the Wage Dam breaks, all wages will equalise to the bottom for slave labor.
To combat this, the answer is to wrest control of US manufacturing away from such companies on this path. It will be an uphill battle because to continue to pay higher wages for labor will cut profit margin for "the good guys" trying to leave Vanguard and BlackRock behind. This is all happening when the entire fiat monetary system is collapsing. It will not be easy to do, nevertheless it must be attempted if there is even a chance at paying an honest wage for an honest days work here in the US or anywhere else.
The problem is Trump and MAGA are not trying to foster this, they are on the side of the businesses who wish to pay slave suicide net labor rates.
